BRIDPORT Reserves have completed their Dorset Premier League season by finishing 14th of the 16 teams.

Adam Herring’s men drew 3-3 at Sherborne Town Reserves before ending on a low point with a 4-0 defeat at Westland Sports.

At Sherborne, two goals for Isaac House appeared to be in vain for the Bees after the Zebras struck through ex-Bridport winger Dec Cornish, Alfie Calway and Billy Mullins.

But Dan Baggs came up with a stoppage-time equaliser as Bridport ensured they would evade the bottom two.

Matters at Westland were less rosy as the Somerset side took all three points courtesy of Steve Ormrod, Josh John, Jack White and Lewis Morgan goals.

However, Bridport were incensed as they were at one stage reduced to eight men with Josh Baker, Paul Hill and Gareth Will all sent to the sin-bin.

Reserves’ boss Adam Herring said: “Sherborne was a tough game, they were quite up for it and had a few first-team players.

“We started really well then went by the wayside. We managed to grab two goals to get it back, a draw was probably a fair result.”

On Westland, he added: “We played better than we did at Sherborne, first half.

“Second half, we ended up with three players in the sin-bin. It was the last game of the season, neither team had anything to play for and it wasn’t a dirty game.

“To sin-bin three players at one time was a bit ridiculous, it made the game a bit farcical.”
