RUGBY Union is set to continue across England this weekend, despite the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.

Government guidance had stated that there was “no obligation” to postpone sporting events and any decision to do so would be at sporting bodies’ discretion.

Following on from this, the Rugby Football Union (RFU) has advised that there can be “respectful continuation” of matches this weekend.

It means eight clubs in Dorset will be active, the highest-ranked being Bournemouth in the Regional One South Central division.
