LOVE Envoi continued her impressive unbeaten run with a superb victory for Dorset trainer Harry Fry in the Mare's Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Fry's rising star was prominent throughout and led well before the last obstacle.

Love Envoi, guided by jockey Jonathan Burke, jumped cleanly before showing a smart turn of foot to hold off the challenging pack up the famed Cheltenham hill.

She held off 50/1 shot Ahorsewithnoname and Grangee for victory. Fry's other entry in the race, Lady Adare, did not race.

Love Envoi was undoubtedly Fry's best chance of a winner at the famous jumps festival and the mare has now won all six of her races, including back-to-back Grade Two contests.

The Dorset-trained mount was as long as 12/1 with some bookmakers before being backed in to 15/2 with the soft ground aiding her chances.

Her success follows that of Dorset-bred Honeysuckle, who won the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham on Tuesday.

Speaking to RacingTV, Fry said: "Coming to the last, Jonny's given her a brilliant ride.

"We know she stays, she was good and she doesn't know when she's beat. I'm just absolutely over the moon, this is what it's all about.

"The team have done a fantastic job. At Sandown, she did everything wrong that she possibly could.

"We thought about it and we wanted her to come here and do things professionally, and she's done that.

"We've gone to post early, done everything we possibly can. Jonny's just given her a wonderful ride.

"To have another winner here for Noel Fehily and his syndicate - he rode my last winner here, Unowhatimeanharry, in 2016 - this is what it's all about."
