BRIDPORT boss Jamie Manley has challenged the Bees to show “character and desire” against Bridgwater Town at St Mary’s Field tonight (7.45pm).
Manley’s men earned a terrific 4-3 victory over St Austell in the FA Vase on Saturday for their first win this season.
And Manley is seeking a “similar performance” against Town as the Bees look to get their points tally ticking.
He said: “We’ve got to be on it, otherwise we’ll be punished. If we can put in a similar performance to (Saturday) and show the same character and desire, we shouldn’t be too far away.
“We want to get our season up and running, we’re building a bit of a side so it would be nice to get a result.
“I shouldn’t have to gee them up too much, they’ll definitely be up for that.”
Midfielders Max Westlake and Leon Wood (both knee) are doubtful but strike Lewis Clarke could return.
