The iconic hut used in a hit ITV series appears at increasing risk following a recent landslide.
The ‘Broadchurch Hut’ which sits at the top of the cliffs in Eype has appeared increasingly closer to the cliff edge following the landslide.
The hut was the setting of Danny Latimer’s death which was the catalyst for the murder investigation in the first series of the show, written by Bridport-based writer Chris Chibnall.
It also featured heavily in the second series, with one of the final shots of the series taking place at the chalet.
Dorset based photographer James Loveridge managed to capture some impressive shots of the aftermath.
He said: “The position of the Broadchurch Hut at Eype looks a little bit more precarious after this recent cliff fall.”
Many local residents have voiced their concerns regarding the landslide.
One said: “I remember when that hut was a long way from the edge. It’s such a worry.”
Another added: “The chalet certainly does appear to be getting closer to the sea, that’s for sure.”
West Dorset has seen a large amount of dramatic landslides over the past few months.
In Charmouth, beachgoers are warned to stay away from the cliffs following a number of landslips.
