We are now reaping the consequences of the public’s failure to adhere to Government guidelines over the Xmas period.

One would have thought that by now the seriousness of the pandemic might just have sunk into the most densest of individuals, particularly with the pleas of the Prime Minister and the quote from the Health Secretary on the Andrew Marr show “every time you flex the rules that could be fatal....staying at home is the most important thing we can do collectively as a society”.

Why then are the kiosks in seaside towns allowed to remain open, attracting people like magnets to continue to flout the rules?
