I FIND myself rather mystified by Jeremy Norton’s (Letters, July 16) disappointment at his local MP.
MP Chris Loder’s crime was apparently to qualify a remark on the Black Lives Matter protests with the statement that ‘all lives matter’. I fail to see the controversy in this.
With the minimum of jargon, could Mr Norton confirm whether his opinion is that all lives don’t matter, or merely that some lives matter more than others?
Incidentally, after a break from the Bridport News (blame Covid) I’m confused by the volume of correspondence expressing disappointment in West Dorset’s new MP. It’s almost like he didn’t win last year by an enormous margin.
