WEYMOUTH will face Vanarama National League side Barnet in an enticing FA Trophy first round tie.

The Terras have been rewarded for Saturday's 1-0 win over Hastings in the third qualifying round with a trip to higher-league opposition, although Mark Molesley's men will be optimistic of an upset.

Barnet currently sit 16th in the National League having lost four of their past five games, while Weymouth sit in fourth place in the Vanarama National League South.

It is Barnet's second home draw against Dorset opposition in two seasons after the Bees needed a late goal to defeat Dorchester Town 2-1 in the second round in January.

First-round ties take place on Saturday, December 14 with the winners collecting an additional £4,500 in prize money, while the losers pocket £1,500.

Last season, Weymouth were knocked out in the second round by eighth-tier Ramsbottom United, who won their replay 3-1 following a 2-2 draw in Greater Manchester.
