People feel sorry for me because I am a childless old widow who will be spending Christmas alone.
But, if you dig deep enough, you will find a blessing in my disadvantage.
For instance, I won’t have to wear tight clothes and make polite conversation with people I am not very keen on.
I will be able to sit around comfortably and watch my favourite television programmes, dressed in casual attire.
The money that I would have spent on rich food and greed I have been able to convert into cheques for the blind and disabled, No, the do-gooders with their gushy Christmas ‘yuck’ don’t need to swamp me with their pity.
It ain’t needed.
