I was disappointed to read the letter entitled ‘Good idea but etc’.

It would appear that the harbour team and other loyal members of the West Bay community cannot do right from wrong.

I wasn’t aware that a temporary structure, like a flower festooned small boat on the harbour side or a green wheelie bin needed planning permission.

Also, I didn’t realise that the roundabout by Parkdean was now a children’s play area.

Surely, no responsible parent would allow their child to play on it?

I am surprised the contributor ever gets out of their house because everywhere in West Bay would appear to be an impending disaster area.

Does the contributor do a health and safety/risk assessments before they walk or are led down their garden path?

I think not.

I would like to think that the relevant personnel who are in the Bay and that are responsible for our safety, have all the necessary insurances and paperwork done with all the ‘T’s’ crossed and ‘I’s’ dotted.

There will always be ‘knockers’ and people with ‘agendas’ in West Bay but they are very few and far between.

I would like to thank and congratulate all the people in West Bay who strive to make it a place to be proud of.
