The recent opening of the Happy Island cycle path has created for me a sense of freedom. I just want to thank those who designed it and then worked so hard to make it a living reality.
Since a road accident, followed by infection in the bone, I needed my left leg amputated from above the knee.
That meant the end of walking miles in spite of being still an ‘active spirit’.
I do now possess a battery scooter that enables me to get about.
However, some of the road and pavements are in such a poor condition that at times I feel I’m taking my life in my own hands. May the day come when Happy Island cycling path be extended to West Bay.
