LYME Regis will start next season in division three of the Devon & Exeter League following confirmation of their switch from the Perry Street League.
A request to join the Fresha-sponsored competition was sanctioned by officials of the league at their recent AGM.
Lyme, who are included in the same division as teams including Axmouth United, Pinhoe and Chagford, kick-off their 2013/14 campaign on August 23.
“It’s an upgrade to senior football from intermediate level football,” said Lyme chairman Howard Larcombe. “As a club, we’re really pleased to be going up to that level.”
