BLANDFORD LADIES 0 QUEEN BEES LADIES 11
QUEEN Bees ladies recorded their first win of the season with a complete rout at Blandford.
For the first 30 minutes, the visitors were denied by an exceptional performance by the home goalkeeper, who made a heap of smart saves.
Eventually, Gaby Gilchrist opened the scoring and completed a 10 minute hat-trick, with Laura Tattershall and Sophie Northover completing a five-goal blast just before half-time.
It was not all one way traffic as central defender Annie Armstrong made several important interceptions to prevent Blandford from scoring, and assisted several attacks that led to goals.
Ellie Mason was moved into the midfield which resulted in her scoring three times during the second period.
Further goals by Northover and Tattershall then followed, but the best goal was 30-yard strike by Caitlin Corbett.
Queen Bees are looking for new and experienced players. If you interested in playing, contact Patrick Letherby on 01308 424756.
