NORTH Allington’s Colin Poole has graduated as a Fifth Dan in Kyu Jiu-Jitsu Self Defence.
The 47-year-old joined the Bridport Jiu-Jitsu Club in March 2012 and is the 100th student of Master Horst Lindenau to graduate in this system Poole showed off his new knowledge with his training partner Damon Allen, who is a Second Dan Kyu in Self Defence and a black belt holder in the art of Spirit Combat.
German-born Horst, 60, has lived in the West Dorset town for 20 years and started teaching Martial Arts in 1993 at the Bridport Leisure Centre.
His style of teaching is based purely on self def-ence, personal fitness and well-being rather than sport or competitions.
The Bridport Jiu-Jitsu Club meets every Tuesday at Loders Village Hall at 7pm.
