BRIDPORT could hand a debut to new attacking midfield signing Joe Maunsell against Okehampton Argyle on Saturday (3pm).
Maunsell joins the Bees on dual-registration from fellow Step 6 side Gillingham Town and is understood to be likely to play the remainder of the season at St Mary’s Field.
With top-scorer Riley Weedon missing out on Saturday, Maunsell is a ready-made replacement having already played 34 times for the Gills in Toolstation Western League Division One this season.
Commenting on his latest acquisition, Bridport boss Chris Herbst revealed first-team coach Jim Lukosius had been instrumental in the deal.
He said: “Jim knows him, working with him at under-18s and I’ve spoken to him a little bit.

"It’s a no-brainer. He’s here now and he’ll probably get a start on Saturday as well with Riley being away, so it’s timed nicely for him.
“He’s a strong lad, technically good in the number 10 and wide areas. It’s another forward-thinking player that we definitely needed to add.
“That’s why when Jim spoke to him a few times he was keen. He’s played quite a bit for Gillingham, so he’s played the standard. That was crucial.”
