BRIDPORT'S Good Friday game at Axminster Town has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Bees were due to kick off at 11am but a 6.30am inspection of the Tiger Way pitch returned a negative verdict.

With the pitch deemed unplayable, the Bees still have eight matches to squeeze in between now and the end of the season on Saturday, April 27.

It does allow Chris Herbst's men a breather after their efforts on Tuesday night, in which they played 65 minutes with 10 men, after being taken to extra-time in the 3-2 cup defeat by Okehampton Argyle.

Bridport return to action on Easter Monday, where they host Torrington (2pm).
