SEVEN West Bay Sea Angling Club juniors signed on to fish the annual Stokes Family Trophy on the East Pier in West Bay.
Eden Lynham landed the first prize with Robbie Hall second and Ben Stokes third.
The competitors had to contend with a strong south-westerly wind and coloured water,
Despite the conditions, all the competitors managed to catch fish such as wrasse, blenny, pout, shanny, whiting and pollock.
Ben, the youngest of the Stokes family, was fishing only his second match.
The youngster was three grams short of third place which was being held by Caolan Ayers, but right on the whistle Stokes caught the last fish of the day, a nine gram pollock which gave him third place.
