THERE will be no election for Lyme Regis Town Council next month after only ten candidates came forward to stand.

Nine members of the current council will leave their role next month, including Mayor Sally Holman and three chairmen of the council’s committees.

Only ten councillors will form the newly-elected Lyme Regis Town Council. The new council will consists of John Broom, Michaela Ellis, Derek Hallett, Patrick Hicks, Sean Larcombe, Owen Lovell, Cheryl Reynolds, Daryl Turner, Anita Williams and Stan Williams.

Those standing down from the council are Sally Holman, Rikey Austin, Ann Bradbury, Lucy Campbell, Chris Clipson, Mark Gage, Loran Jenkin, Terry O’Grady and George Symonds.

The newly elected members may fill the four outstanding vacancies by co-option.

The Mayor, along with Cllr Gage, Cllr O’Grady, Cllr Clipson and Cllr Jenkins will present reports at tonight Annual Town Meeting at Woodmead Halls.
