LYME Regis is set to feature on the BBC’s Countryfile this weekend.
At the end of February a team of crew and presenter Julia Bradbury visited the town and met some of the museum staff.
Museum geologist Paddy Howe was involved in filming on the beach between Lyme and Charmouth and also in his workshop preparing a small ammonite specimen.
Filming also took place at the ‘ammonite graveyard’ on Monmouth Beach with geologist Richard Edmonds, and Tom Sharpe, from the National Museum of Wales, was interviewed about Mary Anning.
The programme is scheduled to air on BBC 1 on Sunday, March 17 at 7pm.
