The streets of West Bay and Bridport emptied again last night as the town settled on to its sofas for the latest next enthralling episode of Broadchurch.
People in West Dorset have been joining nine million others up and down the country in playing the guessing game of “Who killed Danny Latimer?”
The eight part ITV drama was written by Bridport-based Chris Chibnall who has steadfastly declined to give away even a hint of who killed the schoolboy in the fictional Dorset seaside town.
The series has become the most watched first series of a new weeknight drama since 2004.
In the fifth episode at 9pm, as Det Insp Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and Det Sgt Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) came under fire, as the people of Broadchurch started to turn against each other.
West Bay is set to enjoy a tourist boom as people flood in to the area to see the real Jurassic Coast setting, and the stunning scenery which plays a starring role in the drama.
