POLICE in Bridport are appealing for help to find a woman who has gone missing while enjoying a night out in the town.

Victoria Jane Mann, aged 26, from Bridport, was last seen in her blue Ford KA3 car, registration number V983 PER, outside the King's Head public house at Bradpole - on the northern outskirts of Bridport - at around 10.30pm on Saturday, October 27.

The appeal to the public for help in finding Victoria is being made after other avenues of police investigation were exhausted.

Chief Inspector Alan Jenkins, of Weymouth police, said: "I am very keen to hear from anyone who saw Victoria after 10.30pm on Saturday 27 October 2007 and from anyone who saw her driving her blue Ford KA3 car.

"It is believed that Victoria may have driven her distinctive car from Bradpole to Burton Bradstock - a village some four miles east of Bridport - either on that Saturday evening or early the following Sunday morning.

"I am also appealing for anyone who saw or spoke to Victoria on that Saturday evening - or during the early hours of the Sunday morning - to contact Dorset Police in confidence as soon or possible.

"All calls will be treated in the strictest confidence and I am interested in any information - no matter how unimportant or irrelevant people may believe it to be," explained Chief Inspector Jenkins.

It is believed that Victoria has not gone missing before.

Anyone who has information about Victoria since she went missing - should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01305 222 222 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
