In your Postbag of 21st September, Mr David Tett expressed his lack of surprise over Dorset County Council’s decision to reverse its objection to the Vearse Farm development.
He also accused both the Highways and Environment Agencies of closing ranks with West Dorset District Council and was outraged by the ‘diabolical decision’ to hold the hearing for the planning application in Dorchester ‘causing many from attending because of work commitments and travel problems’.
He also complained that there is too much interference in local affairs from central government.
Whilst I sympathise with Mr Tett over his concerns, I would like to point out that exactly the same scenario occurred over the planning application for the St. Michaels Trading Estate.
Did Mr Tett complain then?
