COASTGUARDS were called after diesel was spilt in West Bay Harbour.
Members of West Bay Coastguard were called to West Bay Harbour on Thursday (29) after diesel fuel was found in the water.
Five rescue officers from West Bay Coastguard inspected the Harbour.
A West Bay Coastguard spokesperson said: "On investigation, it was confirmed that there was a substance present in the water which was believed to be a small quantity of diesel fuel.
"The Coastguard officers liaised with the Harbour Master, the Environment Agency and West Dorset District Council who concluded that no further action was required."
The spillage was caused after a boat leaned over following the midday low tide.
A spokesperson for West Dorset District Council said: "A small amount of diesel was spilled after a boat leant over at low tide.
"It's been monitored since and the majority has dispersed."
