Award-winning photographer Robert Golden will give the annual talk at Bridport Camera Club entitled ‘Why Make Photographs?’ on November 13.
Bridport-based Robert, also a film director with two feature films, 30 documentaries and 900 commercials under his belt, will concentrate on the ‘why’ and the ‘what’ rather than the ‘how’ of photography. His talk at the town hall from 7.30pm will not be about techniques, but he will share some of the curiosity that drives him to take photos and how his ideas and take on life inform the picture-making process.
Robert said: “I came to understand that photography was capable of revealing truths about life I was so hungry to grasp, and to do so with great beauty.”
Tickets for the event are £5 each and are available on the door.
