A person was cut from their vehicle after a crash between a car and and a tanker.
Emergency services are on the scene and an air ambulance was called after a tanker and a car collided near Tollerdown Gate.
A spokesperson from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 2.30pm to a report of a collision between a car and a lorry.
"Crews from Dorchester, Beaminster and Bridport attended and crews used hydraulic equipment to rescue a casualty from the car."
They added police and ambulance services were also at the scene.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called today at 2.20pm to the report of a two vehicle collision between a car and a tanker."
They added an air ambulance had been called.
One person has been taken to hospital but police said the extent of their injuries was not yet known.
Recovery has been arranged for the vehicle.
