A leisure centre's membership has now exceeded its pre-pandemic levels - four years after the pandemic.
The Bridport Leisure Centre is celebrating 'fully re-establishing itself as a thriving, busy' community hub following the Covid pandemic, which forced it to close temporarily.

The centre boasts a 25m pool and a teaching pool; a large sports hall suitable for badminton, walking football and other sports; plus, squash courts and a number of other exercise facilities.
The centre says it has kept membership fee increases as low as possible despite the impact of rising energy prices and inflation on its operational costs.
In its latest customer satisfaction survey the centre says it received a high percentage of ‘excellent’ ratings.
It works closely with Dorset Council, Bridport Town Council, the majority of local primary schools, the Ammonite Health Partnership, Active Dorset, Live Well Dorset, the Stepping Out cancer rehabilitation group and several local businesses.
The centre also delivers a wide variety of activities, including baby, toddler, and school swimming lessons, aqua fitness sessions, lanes swimming, fitness classes, and a council-backed, exercise referral scheme.
