A fire broke out at a shed near the medical centre in Bridport.
Crews from Bridport Fire Station rushed to a shed fire on Edwards Close in Bridport at 10.53am this morning (Friday, April 5).
The shed was totally destroyed by fire and is believed to have been caused by josticks according to a tweet released by the fire service.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze which was spreading to the fence panels.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
Charlie Francis-Pape, a concerned neighbour, said: "My daughters and I were on our way to London when I received missed calls from friends.
"When I called them back they told me my garden was on fire. I was very worried because my dog and cat are left at home.
"A friend ran to my house to check and we realised it was a neighbour's house. I feel powerless to help because I'm not there and hope everyone is ok."
A spokesperson from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service said: "We received a call at 10.53am this morning about a shed fire on Edwards Close, Bridport.
"Two crews from Bridport attended the incident and found that the fire was spreading to adjacent fence panels – firefighters extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets and our stop was in at 11.32am. A fire investigation is being carried out."
