A MAN was arrested on suspicion of theft after a GPS Dome was stolen from a tractor.
Police officers were made aware of a theft of the device from a tractor on Wednesday, March 13.
A GPS Dome is a cyber device based on unique technology to protect against electromagnetic warfare.
The device was stolen on Sunday (March 10) and police located a suspect vehicle yesterday morning.
A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of theft.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Police said: "The device was stolen on Sunday, March 10, in the west Dorset area and a suspect vehicle was identified.
"Local officers along with the Rural Crime Team were deployed to search for the vehicle in the West Dorset area.
"They managed to locate the vehicle and arrested a man on suspicion of theft.
"If you use a GPS Dome on your tractor, please take them off at night to keep them safe."
