West Dorset is on flood alert due to high tides.
The Environment Agency issued two alerts for west Dorset this morning - the first covering Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogden Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and Chiswell.
The second placed West Bay harbour on flood alert for high tide between 7am and 11am.
The Environment Agency says high tides are to be expected in these areas over the next two days.
A spokesperson from the Environment Agency said: “Our incident response staff are closing flood gates and checking defences. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert if necessary.
“Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous."
