An acclaimed folk duo are performing at a gig in Bridport before they plan to go their separate ways - and the show is already sold out

Show of Hands will take to the stage of the Bridport Arts Centre on Thursday March 7, at 7.30pm as a ‘celebration of their enduring legacy'.

Steve Knightley and Phil Beer have been performing as Show of Hands for 30 years and following their Full Circle Part II tour they plan to take an ‘indefinite hiatus.’

They are bidding farewell in style at the Abbotsbury Festival Family Day on Saturday, July 6.

The Devon-based duo are best known for hits including Cousin Jack, Keep Hauling, and Walk With Me (When the Sun Goes Down).

Singer-songwriter Steve Knightley plays guitar, mandolin, mandocello, cuatro, whilst composer and multi-instrumentalist Phil Beer’s talents lie with the guitar, violin, viola, mandolin, mandocello, and vocals.

Show of Hands are also playing gigs at Lyme Regis’ Marine Theatre on February 1, and Dorchester Arts Centre on April 13, which are not yet sold out.
