Heart-lifting music to thaw the cold winter season can be heard in Wootton Fitzpaine this weekend.
The Narthen Trio will perform Icicles and Inglenooks at Wootton Fitzpaine Village Hall on Saturday, December 9 at 7.30pm.
The concert will include polyphonic, unaccompanied carols from Yorkshire and beyond, and tunes that make you want to dance.
Throw into the mix a few irreverent songs about pheasants and other seasonal fare, and you’ve got a show that’ll thaw your icicles and warm your inglenooks.
Performing on fiddles, viola, hammer dulcimer, diatonic accordion, hurdy gurdy and more, expect the unexpected from Fi Fraser, Sarah Matthews and Doug Eunson.
Tickets cost £12 and can be bought from the Artsreach website https://artsreach.co.uk/event/icicles-and-inglenooks or call 01297 560948.
