A person suffered a 'medical' incident in a difficult to reach location at Golden Cap.

Lyme Regis coastguard rescue officers were called out to Golden Cap yesterday, Monday, August 21, to help a person who required medical assistance.

Once the person was found, the team handed them over to the ambulance service.

This comes after a busy few days for the coastguard who successfully located a missing child on Charmouth beach alongside police.

The team was also called out at the weekend to help a man in his 60s who crash landed a hang glider in Burton Bradstock. When they arrived the person was already under the care of West Bay Coastguard and Devon Air Ambulance.

A man who was injured whilst onboard a vessel inbound for Lyme Regis was also helped out by the crew.
