BRIDPORT’S best performers were celebrated during the Daggers’ Annual Awards Dinner at the Brewery Ground clubhouse.

There was much to reminisce upon after Bridport claimed an excellent fifth in Counties Two Dorset & Wilts South last season.

Fifty guests, players, members and sponsors enjoyed a three-course meal followed by a disco and karaoke, entered with gusto by the players.

Several awards were presented over the course of the evening but the three main ones were ‘Players’ player of the year’, ‘Coaches’ player of the year’ and ‘Young player of the year’.

Jim Jones from Palmers Brewery, who had sponsored the ‘players’ player of the year’ presented the award to Charlie Samways.

Frampton’s Butchers sponsored the remaining two awards but unfortunately Phil Frampton was unable to attend and these were presented to Hugh Vivian and Jack Pellow respectively by club chairman Julian Hussey.
