A hilarious take on a comedy can be enjoyed at Bridport Arts Centre this week.
From today to Friday, March 18, Encore Theatre Club is back with a bang with Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime.
Written by Constance Cox and based on a short story by Oscar Wilde, Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime is a brilliantly uproarious tale of a rather hopeless young man who has been given the task to murder someone before his upcoming nuptials. Unfortunately for him, he’s not very good at it.
Despite moments of life-threatening tension, mortal danger and blatant attempted murder including poisonings, bombings and suffocation there is little actual blood-letting!
Produced by Dewi Lambert and Louisa Hardy, the play boasts a fantastic and energised cast from the Bridport community, promising a riotous night out at the theatre.
The show is said to be 'delightfully wicked, and not to be missed'.
It will be performed at Bridport Arts Centre at 7.30pm from March 16 to 18. Tickets cost £12 and can be bought by visiting www.bridport-arts.com or via the Tourist Information Centre on 01308 424901.
