A road is set to close temporarily to carry out access work.
Dorset County Council has issued a notice under section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 to prohibit the the use of Mill Green, Lyme Regis, from its junction with Hill Road for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to Highway Users.
It will come into operation on Tuesday, July 10 and will remain in force for five days.
However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Thursday, July 12.
The notice will enable South West Water safe access to carry out a new connection in this highway.
On this occasion, no alternative route will be available.
