ONE woman was injured in a crash on the A35 at Axminster.

The crash between Axminster and the B3261 affected traffic travelling between Axminster and Charmouth.

The road was partly blocked, but kept moving around the incident near the B3261.

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance service said they were called just after 9am to the two car crash.

The spokesman said: "There is one patient complaining of neck pain. There is one ambulance on scene."

One woman suffered whiplash injuries in the crash.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We were called at 9.10am on Tuesday to reports of two cars involved in a collision opposite the Texaco garage at Axminster.

"The road was not blocked and the vehicles were on the side of the road, however fuel was spilled from at least one of the vehicles.

"The vehicles involved were a green Ford Modeo and a grey Suzuki Jimmy estate.

"There were no serious injuries reported."
