A ROAD in Bridport has been re-opened after being blocked by a landslip earlier today.
The incident happened earlier this morning close to the Sir John Colfox Academy school.
Gipsy Lane was blocked due to the landslip between Pymore Road and A3066 on St Andrew's Road and Village Road.
Engineers cleared just over five tonnes of debris from the road, which was re-opened at 2.45pm, in time for the school run, said a spokesperson for Dorset County Council.
Two feet of material fell across the road blocking it.
DCC have said that following the damage during Storm Imogen, Uploaders Road will be closed for three weeks as the road was become unstable following a landslip there. Part of the road has fallen away.
A diversion is in place via Bradpole and along Dorchester Road.
