THE POLICE helicopter was called into action to help a search for a stolen car in west Dorset.
The NPAS helicopter based in Bournemouth was called to Lyme Regis on Monday (14) morning after a vehicle was reported stolen.
A Dorset Police spokesperson, said: “The helicopter assisted after a theft of a motor vehicle was reported to us at 7.41am from the Charmouth Road area of the town.
“The helicopter assisted with a search for the vehicle and the offender, with the vehicle later found abandoned in Colyton. No arrests have been made.”
