AN APPEAL has been set up to raise money for a family who lost their home in Monday’s fire at the Clockhouse Inn.
The historic Chideock pub was destroyed by a blaze on Easter Monday, believed to have been started in the chimney of the property.
Dozens of firefighters from Dorset, Devon and Somerset took three hours to bring the fire under control – with severe damage caused to the building.
A fund has been set up by St Giles’ Church and Chideock Parish Council to raise donations for Michael and Helen Long – who ran the pub.
Donations should be handed in at the Chideock village shop or to any church officer or parish councillor.
The Bridport and Lyme Regis branches of Nat West bank are also collecting donations.
