A rare bird is causing a flap in West Dorset.
The little bustard was sighted in West Bexington this morning.
It usually breeds in southern Europe and in western and central Asia.
This species is declining due to habitat loss. The last sighting in the UK was in 1987 and prior to that in 1902.
A spokesman for Rare Bird Alert, a website for birdwatchers said: "It was first sighted by one of our members this morning. It was seen to fly off but local birdwatchers are still searching for it as it may still be in the area."
