The Lyme Regis ladies bowls team retained their place in division 1 of the Dorset League despite going down 0-10 away to Dorchester.

Poole Park managed only six of the eight points which would have seen them stay up and Lyme relegated. The men’s team face a further wait to see if their future lies in the championship league, as despite being relegated, last minute adjustments to the league structure could see them saved.

Of the three friendlies played only the ladies managed to win against a strong touring side from Norfolk.

This past weekend the club held its annual in-house competition finals and this year they were competed for in warm conditions.
