POLICE are urging motorists to take care in thick fog on the A35 following an incident between a lorry and a motorcycle.
The incident happened at around 2pm this afternoon near Askerswell and traffic is building along the route near Long Bredy.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said that the motorcyclist had been taken to Dorset County Hospital, but did not have any life-threatening injuries.
The black Triumph motorcycle and the Austin blue and black dropside lorry did not make contact.
Paramedics also attended the scene.
The spokesman added: "Fog warning signs are being installed along the route.
"Please take care- the fog is very thick along the A35 and traffic is building up right into Bridport."
