Give a personal touch to new housing development
2:00pm Friday 7th March 2014 in News
RESIDENTS of Lyme Regis will be given the chance to add their personal touch to the new Woodberry Down housing development.
The 46-home housing estate was granted planning permission earlier this year and West Dorset District Council is now seeking ideas for street names for the three-street development, Lyme Regis Town Council was approached by the street naming and numbering officer from the district council to suggest three names, but councillors decided at the town management committee meeting to open it up to the public rather than selecting the names themselves.
The development will be arranged around three streets which will be the main one and two separate offshoots. The officer has advised anybody wishing to submit their ideas to avoid the use of close and crescent in the names.
To submit your suggestions for the street names, contact Lyme Regis Town Council on 01297 445175, email them to firstname.lastname@example.org or send them by post to Mrs Adrianne Mullins, Lyme Regis Town Council, Town Council Offices, Guildhall Cottage, Church Street, Lyme Regis, DT7 3BS.
