A HOME-GROWN show is coming to Weymouth.

The Story of Guitar Heroes is a live concert style 'rockumentary' performed by musician Phil Walker and his band.

Phil, who is creator and director of the show, lives in Weymouth and travels all over the UK touring with it.

He will be performing The Story of Guitar Heroes at Weymouth Pavilion on Friday, August 3.

Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Hank Marvin, Brian May and Slash are just some of the outstanding guitar heroes the audience will get to experience in this show.

With more than 20 guitars used on stage, the show accurately recreates the sound and ambience of each guitar hero starting from the 1950s to the present day.

The show offers the latest in video screen technology to create a larger than life event.

Compounded in a creative and powerful experience this show not only appeals to all those budding guitar heroes out there, but to music lovers of all ages.

One other band member in the show also hails from Weymouth - guitarist Toby James. The rest of the band includes a bass player from Northampton called Jim Reece and drummer Kristian Dluzewski from Christchurch.

Phil said: "I always look forward to playing at the pavilion in Weymouth. Not just because it’s my home town but it’s also an incredible venue to perform in.

"Weymouth has always been a great town for live music, so to be able to bring my own show here is just amazing."
