SECRET BEACHES
CHAPMAN'S POOL
PARK at Worth Matravers (post code BH19 3LE) to start your adventure exploring a cove with a raw and untouched quality.
Wandering to Chapman's Pool is a walk along the limestone coastline with caves and ledges carved out through years of use. The caves have been used by pirates and smugglers in 18th and 19th century to hide their loot.
The descent to the cove is steep and in places uneven, but it is a pretty walk and when you reach the bottom you will find a rocky beach surrounding the horseshoe-shaped cove.
The cove has a similar wow factor to Lulworth Cove, but you will find it much less crowded. After a walk a drink at the quirky Square and Compass pub in Worth Matravers is recommended.
