VENTURE into a world where snail mail reigns supreme and enjoy a nostalgic approach to the way we communicate through a romantic theatre performance.

Step on board the pillar-box red ‘van-atorium’ known as Mobile Sorting Office 451, which will be stationed in the middle of Dorchester’s Borough Gardens on Thursday August 4 for two performances at 2pm and 6pm.

Killer Theatre are bringing The Last Post, a curious love story.

Surrounded by postage paraphernalia from a much-travelled life, Verity is the irrepressible heiress of an international pen-pal agency, and Red, is a redundant post-master.

Witness the unwrapping of their unusual love story, accompanied by live music provided by Tomaz.

Following the play, the audience are invited to stay and rummage in the stationary supplies of the sorting office.

Afterwards, hop onto a vintage typewriter or pick up a quill to write that letter you’ve been meaning to send to a long lost friend.

If you need some inspiration, organisers of the play said you can pick up a postcard from the ‘Friends for Pens’ pin-board and write to a real life recipient who is waiting for your letter.

Dorchester Arts summer drama season is sponsored by Battens Solicitors through its charitable trust.

n The Last Post, on Thursday August 4 in Dorchester Borough Gardens at 2pm and 6pm.
