HARDY'S classic novel Tess of the d'Urbervilles will be performed at the house where he wrote it in what promises to be a memorable outdoor production.
SISASTA will be bringing Tess to Max Gate, Dorchester, on Friday July 22 at 6.30pm.
Before it comes to Max Gate it will be performed at The Priest's House Museum and Garden in Wimborne Minster on Saturday June 25 at 6.30pm.
This touring production has been adapted and directed by Charmaine K Parkin and is presented by SISATA Open Air Theatre.
Four actors play multiple roles in what is said to be an enigmatic and fast paced telling of virtue, love and injustice, but above all the impact of this on the human condition.
It will bring to life the Wessex of the past and honour the beautiful countryside where the story takes place, whilst also highlighting the timeless issues that this story presents.
However, in true SISATA style there will still be fun, interaction and song to tie together this heart-breaking tale.
See sisata.co.uk for ticket prices and information on how to book.
