ELEGANCE, emotion and a stunning performance of Swan Lake will be gracing a stage in Swanage next week.

Performed by the mesmerising Vienna Festival Ballet to music by Tchaikovsky, one of the best known love stories will be brought to life by beautiful ballet dancers at the Mowlem Theatre in Swanage on Tuesday, April 26.

Lavish costumes, stunning scenery, international stars, and the glorious music from Tchaikovsky will make this a memorable performance.

Swan Lake is one of the most popular ballets in the world.

It’s the ballet that captures like no other the full range of human emotions - from hope to despair, from terror to tenderness and from melancholy to ecstasy.

Vienna Festival Ballet bring around 200 ballet performances to the UK each year, touring for eight months.

Founded in 1980 by the vastly experienced Austrian dancer and artistic director, Peter Mallek, the company prides itself on making ballet accessible to all with affordable ticket prices.

The performance company’s aim is to bring ballet to a new audience to appreciate the ever-popular art form.

The dancers dynamic and dazzling version of Swan Lake explores the passionate plight of Odette, a beautiful princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer, Von Rothbart’s curse.

Odette, Queen of the Swans meets the charming Prince Seigfried and falls in love.

Their struggle to be together untangles against a meddling stepmother and sorcerer into a story of sacrifice and true love.

The performance is set to be a moving and beautiful ballet.
