DUO Teresa Carreno are the musicians for the next Weymouth Sunday Concert.
Ana Laura, piano, is originally from Cuba and Arturo, cello, is from Venezuela
They are ambassadors of Latin American music and currently direct the Latin American Festival in Sherborne.
Arturo started his musical studies with El Sistema (the System of Youth) and the children’s orchestras in Venezuela.
When the duo played at The Bolivar Hall, London, a review said 'It was magic ..like being possessed by their music'.
In 2012,they launched the First Latin American Music Festival in Sherborne, a chamber music series where some of the best works by South and Central American composers are performed by young musicians from all around the world.
The festival concerts have brought South American music to Sherborne and are increasingly popular.
In Weymouth, they will play a mixture of items by Villa Lobos, Granados, Schubert, Rachmaninov and Saint Saens.
The concert is on Sunday at Weymouth Bay Church beginning at 3pm.
