A SHOWCASE of local talent can be seen at Weymouth Operatic Society's Christmas concerts.

The group will be performing their Christmas Showcase at Hope Church, Weymouth, between Wednesday December 9 and Friday December 11 inclusive.

Alongside some traditional carols there will be songs such as Lean on Me, Fairytale of New York, Christmas Day and Oh Happy Day, proving that the society thrives on an eclectic mix of songs throughout its repertoire.

With large chorus numbers such as For Unto Us to solos including All is Well, duets and small group numbers interspersed with comic poems and readings, this is a concert not to be missed.

The church will be adorned with more than 20 real Christmas trees all decorated by local charities.

Each performance starts at 7.30 pm with tickets at £7for adults and £5 for children under 16 all to include a complimentary drink on arrival.

There will be a raffle and refreshments and tickets can be bought from the T Shop and Harbour Stores both near Hope Square or on the door each evening.
